Theoria Lodge #250 was chartered on September 14, 2026. Located in English, Indiana, this lodge is the 10th Independent Order of Odd Fellows lodge that has been chartered in the county. The last IOOF lodge ended in the 1970s (Taswell). Theoria is a Greek word meaning “contemplation”. The #250 is not to be confused with a previous lodge of that number (which is defunct and from another county) but rather to celebrate the 250th anniversary of the United States. We currently meet at the Crawford County Historical and Genealogical Society building in English (310 Oak Hill Circle) on the second (social) and fourth (business) Thursdays at 6:00pm.
